Microgreens Grown with Gratitude

Our mission is to provide New England with the freshest, tastiest, and most nutritious microgreens possible and to foster relationships within our community to serve it to the best of our ability.

WHAT WE DO

Grateful Greens uses creative, low impact, state-of-the-art indoor farming technology. We grow in a nutrient-rich organic soil mix with seeds to create healthy, tasty, and extraordinarily sustainable vegetables. We grow a large variety of microgreens including sunflower, pea, broccoli, radish, and many more. We work with the Natural Food Certifiers for our USDA organic certification.

HOW WE DO IT

Grateful Greens strives to strengthen local food systems and relieve our dependence on resource intensive farming or shipping produce from distant lands. To do this, we use a high-efficiency, soil-based technology that replicates the ideal growing conditions for these crops. This indoor, and all natural, growing technique provides healthy food as well as a healthier local food system.

WHY IT MATTERS

We’re focused on changing the world by showing a new way to grow food, at the same time we’re changing your day by providing vital and tasty vegetables. Improving the way we produce food can enable any community to provide healthy, tasty food for itself in any climate or situation, all year long. This work is as much about nourishment as it is movement!

WHAT IS A MICROGREEN?

Microgreens are essentially 'baby versions' of your favorite leafy greens! Microgreens are usually harvested 7-21 days after germination, when the plant's first leaves emerge. They are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, and paleo.

HOW DO THEY COMPARE TO ADULT GREENS?

Just like a seed contains a very high density of energy and minerals, microgreens contain a high concentration of nutrients and flavor! Taste our microgreens for yourself at a local restaurant or buy some at a local retailer.

NUTRIENTS

An American chemical study looked at nutrient levels of 25 different microgreens and compared them to full-sized leafy vegetables and herbs. Nutrient levels in different microgreens varied, but they always had higher levels per gram of vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A than mature crops.
